Honorbuddy RAF Initial Impressions

Posted Thu Jan 07 at 01:20 PM
Well I decided to buy Honorbuddy last night as I wanted to RAF a few accounts. I was had my hopes set high but they were soon dashed. The store is a fucking mess to buy anything from. The recovery system is inept if you dont remember your username. After thinking of everything I can and every combination of my username and paswords emails etc.. I finally get to the point where I can reset my password. I do so being happy that I got this far, but when I try to log in I get an error that my account is temporarily locked due to trying to log in too many times. ./forehead So what do I do? I run to Hawker and ask for help. He gets me in touch with Bossland to get it sorted out.

Once you purchase something you have ZERO idea what you need to do past that. There is zero documentation (I will touch on this a bit later) and the forums do not have much in the way of information of what to do upon purchase. No download link / instructional emails / no nothing. Again here comes poor Hawker to the rescue. It turns out that you use your username and password for the shop on the bot. This is all fine and dandy yet there was no easy place to find the bot to download(link or something would help on the main page, I came from gatherbuddy.de to purchase mind you). After scouring the forums (note that beta releases have a main forum and that acutal releases are a sub forum) for where to download the bot I get it up and running.

I now move on to the plugins and addons. I got to say some very nice plugins. Auto-Equip / Training (stlll needs to work, tried to go to camp mojache at level 2 to fly to train) which I havent tried past the initial feralas incident / some auto settings and a custom class. They all load with that one exceptiona nd do their job wonderfully I might add. Well sweet I think to myself. We had a rough beginning but it is getting better. Well time to start loading everything up and lets get this going. After some trial and errors and the bot crashing repeatedly I figure out you can not load the same mesh. You have to load individual meshes per bot to have it work correctly. Again I ran into the zero documentation issue. This is becoming a re occurring theme.

Now that we got that figured out we are ready to run the bot! I start er up and let her rip with RAF enabled on both bots. Hmm low and behold it doesnt work. "WTF" I grumble to myself. Come to find out one has to be on "Level bot" the other on "RAF". Again I got this from Hawker himself (poor guy hates me at this point I think). Again zero documentation on any of this.

So we are now up and running. Come to find out the CC I wanted to use has while loops placed poorly in the pull method. I now have to fix this as doing power donuts when trying to pull just doesn't look bot like at all /cough. I am not sure how someone who doesn't know anything about programs would fix that either. So now with my fixes the bot is running a bit better. Raf is assisting and everything is happy times. Well come to find out that the leader doesn't give a fuck about the RAF account. If itthe RAF account dies / needs to loot / anything / gets agro the leader bot will walk off with out it. Leaving that bot stranded and sometimes left to die.

Looting has a bastard time of looting. It literally can't get it done 50% of the time. I actually had to turn it off so the RAF Account wouldnt get left behind all the time. I was afraid to even see what skinning would do. All in all I think RAF is best suited for hand played with follower bots, other than that I don't recommend it for RAF botting quite yet till leader improvements to help assist the RAF bot.

SUMMARY:

All in all I like Honorbuddy. It moving spots when it levels / auto equipping / training is right on spot. Too bad the only reason I really bought it was for the RAF but I am waiting till Hawker implements more logic. Money well spent maybe if more is done, I would purchase it in a month or 2 when it more was working. Am I unhappy with my purchase? A bit, due to zero documentation (which Hawker said would be coming in 2 weeks or a bit more) and RAF was a let down at best for me. But the plugins and mesh are pretty nice. Would I ask for a refund? No I don't think so. I am going to hand plevel my toons up with my pal and see how it does in outlands with out RAF. I think that might be the determining factor for me. If I get good results there I believe my purchase was justified from that aspect and can accept the price due to being hands off for the most part.

Just and honest review from someone who might or might know something.
